Restaurant Review: His & Hers DC

His & Hers is a newly opened comfort food restaurant in the Washington, DC neighborhood of Woodridge. The moment you walk in there’s a happy yet calm atmosphere. You could smell all the delicious food that was being prepared by their amazing chef. The clover wall further in the back in the eating area and the His & Hers sign that’s made completely of flowers leading to the downstairs of the bulding gives you a dinner in the garden vibe.

We sat ourselves in the booth closest to the wall that had the Lets Eat @ His & Hers illuminated sign. We were greeted by our waitress/bartender named Keez. We gave her the challenge to create a concocted drink for us after she told us that she can make anything. Keez left us with the menu’s and we looked over them while we waited for our drinks. After a few minutes she brought me a cranberry mixed drink. The balance of alcohol and juice was superb. The drinks are tasty and are definitely worth the money.

For the appetizer we ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip that came with freshly made tortilla chip shaped pita bread. The spinach dip was smooth, creamy and delicious. The pita bread was hot and slightly crispy on the outside while still being soft on the inside. For my main dish I ordered the Grilled Lamb Chops. It came with homemade mashed potatoes and cooked spinach. The lamb chops were so tender that you could cut it with a butter knife and it melted in your mouth. For dessert we had slices of Red Velvet cake. The cake was moist and the cream cheese frosting complemented the dessert. The cream cheese frosting was perfect for cutting down the sweetness of the cake.

Overall the experience was wonderful and we had loads of fun. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The music was perfect for the age group that were patronizing the establishment. They played music that I hadn’t heard since childhood. His and Hers is great for hanging out with friends and even a date night. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant again.
